In 2004, the American Red Cross collected the blood of newborn babies and it was tested for toxic chemicals. And do you know what they found?

They found 287 CHEMICALS… including 180 chemicals KNOWN TO CAUSE CANCER… 217 that are harmful to the brain or toxic to the nervous system… and 208 chemicals that have been linked to birth defects, in the blood of newborn babies! Isn’t that FRIGHTENING?

Keep in mind: They tested the blood in the umbilical chord, so these were babies that had never even breathed their first breath of air! The QUESTION is: How did the babies get all these dangerous chemicals in their bloodstream? The ANSWER: They got them from their mothers blood.

A short time later, the Centers for Disease Control (the CDC) in Atlanta did ANOTHER test – this time of ADULTS – and guess what? They found exactly the SAME THING!

Did you know that in 2006, a TV News station in Pittsburgh tested 5 brands of lipstick and found that EVERY SINGLE ONE of them contained LEAD?? Lead, in even small amounts, is harmful to your health. Lead was removed from paint years ago by law, and lead was removed from gasoline for the same reasons. It's dangerous! But lead is still perfectly legal in cosmetics, make-up, skin care, and hair dyes (if you find this hard to believe, just check the label on Grecian Formula).

The question is: WHY?

Lead is a proven neurotoxin that can cause learning, language and behavioral problems in children such as lowered IQ, reduced school performance and increased aggression. Pregnant women and young children are particularly vulnerable to lead exposure. Lead easily crosses the placenta and enters the fetal brain where it can interfere with normal development. Lead has also been linked to infertility, miscarriage, and birth defects. And yet, lead almost never appears on the ingredient labels of cosmetic and skin-care products in the United States because our government does not require it! Sadly, pregnant women may have been passing LEAD – a chemical KNOWN to cause BRAIN DAMAGE – onto their babies without ever being given a choice!!
